I love photography and eat good food. I have the biggest crush on my son and my husband and our new princess. My life revolve around them. I'm a part time domestic goddess and part time government slave. I used to extort people money through photography. That is the main reason why this blog exist. Sadly, time is my number one foe. He never let me multitask too much. But hey hey, cooking isn't that much time consuming. And i believed, a moms cook will make their kid love grow stronger in every munch. Food Review : Chinese Muslims Restaurant, HOMST Kajang

Salam Sunday!

Sunday dah. Phew. Cepat sgt masa berlalu kan. We r at the end of January already. So how is January treating you so far? I have no complaint Insya Allah. As long as husband and my dearest son are with me, its all good. Alhamdulillah.

Well..well..I do promise a food review kan. So since, end of January will always be my busiest month of all. With all the office workload and others, there's always a good reason why we have to eat out and  find a good restaurant to unwind all the busyness. And since yesterday is the Federal Day Celebration, and I just watched  a Dragon Dance, my rumbling tummy gave out pretty good idea. A Chinese food! haha Yes, when you have your head full with food and the biggest appetite for a stomach, dragon can also be inspiring too sometimes. Watchout dragon! haha

Before I started,  a disclaimer-we do have a different palate, so I will always do review according to my own opinion. And the range of price also will be review according to my own pocket. ok :)

I always love Chinese food. IMHO, Cheng Ho's in 2008 are the best Chinese Muslim Food we ever taste. There's no other Chinese Muslims restaurant are as good as their cooking back then. Enough of the Cheng Ho-ing. Lets start.

We have been recommended by Zaza to try out HOMST, Kajang. A chinese muslim restaurant which she described as "Murah & Portion Besar" Yes, who don't love Big Portion Cheap Food! So we heading to Prima Saujana to try out the chains.

We had  Salted Egg York Soft Shell Crab (surprise..haha), Kong Po beef, Kangkung Belacan (just why didn't I ordered Kailan? why Linda??)Fu Zhou Taufu Soup and for beverages I had my syrup and Abah had his Chinese Tea. I always love seafood and Abah do have to eat meat for some reason haha.

So how was it? The Soft Shell Crab is nice. And yes, the portion are big. We do have enough of the crab already but still there's a leftover waving at us on the plate. The Crab were dipped into the salted egg and deep fried and later were seasoned with some curry leaves and cili padi. A small RM20 for two is much already. Taste-wise? the taste is worth the price. If it isnt for crab,  I will opt for buttered prawn instead, but since I do been missing crab since CNY holidays,  I just give it a try. Not a frustrating attempt at all. Do try!

Kong Po Beef, don't come as plentiful as the crab were. We opted for the smallest plate for RM 13.00. But the taste wasn't as spectacular as i thought it should be, but its also worth the money spent. It just I tasted better. And I tasted worst. HOMST's stand between that near to better of course. So this would be recommended also for the worth of the money spent :)

Kangkung belacan is good. The flavoring is superb. I love the crunchiness yet the taste is rich and yup for RM 7 in a small size, we did think they being to kind. We cant finish the whole plate. Its worth it i give u heart on this one homst.

Fu Zhou Taufu Soup is a savory soup. As I not a big fan of corn-starchy-soupy. But this one is an exception. When you can do an exception to a food that you don't like, so it is worth a try. A hit with my son Ghazi :) It is a cool combination of egg tofu, veges, eggs, chicken. For RM7, you should just pay it because its cheaaap and so worth it!

So all and all, HOMST is a nice place to eat your chinese muslim dish with a very clean place, a  good and fast service (we waited for only 12 minutes) and worth your money. I came in somewhere between 4 to 430. They already run out of some menu. And Zaza told me if you guys come at night, they will be more menu out of stock or HABIS. So come early for a wide range of menu and fast service. Thanks  HOMST! and Zaza for the recommendation :) big ♥ to Hannah *muacks*

Resipi : Murtabak Maggie

Salam!

It's Brekkie Recipe again. Have you guys try this out? Most of the lady probably had hehe. Tapi guys mesti tak try unless you are married and your excellent wife/wives made you this bay-beh hahaha. This is a simple and in-your-kitchen ingredients punya. Tak payah nak g kedai ke supermarket ke haha. So org bujang mesti selalu la buat ni. Tapi tidak lah digalakkan. Sebab dia Maggie kan. For me, I tak pakai la maggie actually. Pakai Cintan Mee Non Fried Noodles. Sebab takut si kecil ni teringin, we never know kan. Tapi dia taknak, sbb masa yg sama saya buat kan dia healthy soupy veggies noodle for kid.

Bahan
Mee Maggie/Cintan Mee - 2 papan- rebus dan toskan
Serbuk kari Maggie ; or
2 Bawang merah+1 putih+1/4 inci halia+1 sudu kecil serbuk kari+garam secukup rasa
Telur 2 biji
Bawang holland separuh-diced
Daun sup - mayang
Kobis-racik super nipis
Lada Besar Merah - Racik
Limau Kasturi - sebiji

Cara
Campurkan semua bahan kat atas. Mee yang telah rebus dgn serbuk Maggie dengan telur². Tapi kalau tak guna serbuk maggie.. Bahan² 2 Bawang merah+1 putih+1/4 inci halia+1 sudu kecil serbuk kari+garam secukup rasa kena la tumis dulu baru masukkan bahan² lain ok then baru masukkan telur.
Pastu panaskan frying pan yang korg beli kat carrefour yang non-stick tu eh? haha then just pour in the adunan.
Bila dah cukup rasa masaknye, terbalikkan lah.
Angkat. Siap. hidang. Makan dgn sos!
Siap, tepuk belakang sendiri sbb berjaya! hehe

Resipi : Simple Roti Telur

Salam Pagi Isnin yang bersiaran dari rumah! 

Haha bongkak sikit bunyi sebab mnggu ni dapat cuti free isnin selasa kan. Heeeee. Ok hey hey.. the simplest recipe for healthy breakkie today. Roti Telur! haha ok fine.. dah tau jangan kutuk, ramai lagi kawan bujang saya tak tau idea ni :p This can be called french toasted juga kenkawam. Can be it with maple syrup, honey, strawberry jam (ini saya yg suka haha) or even sambal bilis! Just choose which suite your palate the best :) Im just giving out the idea :)

Bahan
Leftover roti gardenia/roti burger/roti hotdog -potong ikut suka atau langsung tak potong pn takpe
Telur 1-2 biji ikut kuantiti roti
Susu, ratio 1:1 kalau telur banyak tu, susu pun byk tu juga
Garam ( a pinch)
Butter (utk goreng)
Serbuk kayu manis (satu cuit aje)

Cara
Mix susu+telur+garam+serbuk kayu manis-whisk
Panaskan frying pan and melt thhe butter untuk start goreng
Then goreng and walaaaah siap!

Serve and eat with whatever u like :)

Note: I used safe eggs. Tak hanyir and really elok untuk anak yang banyak alahan hehe. Before crack shell tu pastikan kita cuci dulu telur tu ikut adab nabi. Susu is always Full Cream Milk! baru cepat gemok!

Resipi : Baked Rice

Update lagi. Rajiiiiin kau hari ni kan Linda. Cuba rajin cam ni kat office. Mesti dapat pingat tahun depan haha. Ok, mesti ramai tak faham joke tu haha. Anyway, satu lagi resipi!! ni buat pagi tadi. So actually panas lagi dr oven. Pergh. secara harafiahnye memang panas! melecur lidah sebab makan dia panas². keh keh

Baked Rice! This can be kids recipe too. Siapa sempat makan baked rice yang pd saya antara version tersedap lah di kedai, Kat Rasamas, sebelum ni nama dia Ayamas, tapi lepas chain tu takeover dek Rasamas..dah takde la menu tu. Frust, lantas kesian Rasamas ilang sorg customer kuat makan n heboh cam saya. Kalau masa tu ade facebook (sbb rasanya macam dah lama je menu tu takde) memang dah kena foursquare la menu tu :p haha eh..lepas ni nak buat review pasal restaurant la plak ok? Actually suami and me are kinda foodie hehe. Bila ada masa (read:ada masa) we love to try out new restaurant in KL/Putrajaya/Selangor :) haaa amacam? amacam? Tgk la ya, kalau jadi ada la :p

Lets start with the easy ingredients:
1.  Nasi dah siap masak (preferably yang dah sejuk)
2.  Bawang holland diced
3. 3 ulas bwg putih diced
4. Lada benggala hijau and merah (ikut banyak mana nak pedas, i just put sikit shj)
5.  1 sudu butter for menumis
6.  Fresh white mushroom sliced
7.  Carrot - diced
8.  Milk/Whipping cream - 1/2 kotak
9.  Chicken stock/kiub
10.  Parmesan cheese
11.  Mozarella Cheese
12.  Cheddar Cheese
13.  Chicken slice/ham -diced

Cara-cara:
1. Melt kan butter and bila dah panas tumis bwg²+lada benggala+carrot+chicken slice ham garam (sikit je, asal rasa)
2.  Then masukkkan nasi yang dah masak tadi. Goreng ala nasi goreng. Siap, then set aside
3.  Dalam pan satu lagi, masukkan cream n chicken stock/kiub and kacau sampai dia pekat and masukkan mushroom soup. Dlm 3-4 minit dah la.
4.  Masukkan nasi tadi dalam casserole anda, then pour in creme yng dh pekat tadi. Kasik rata la ok.
5.  Letakkan parmesan, layer plak dgn mozarella n cheddar. Banyak² okay! baru laaaaa terlazaaat!.
6. Bakar! for only 8-10 minit. Ni kena play by eyes. Tengok dah kuning masak je cheese dia terus keluarkan,
7.  Makan masa panassss!
8.  Jangan lupa tiup! hehe

Amacam? senang je kan. Nak tambah sayur² lain pn takde hal, nak ubag dari chicken slice ham ke sausages pun takde masalah. Creatively cook your own recipe! okay :)

Tips: kurangkan penggunaan butter masa goreng nasi. Kalau taknak guna butter pun ok, just heat up your non stick frying pan and gaul sume benda kat atas. Less oily is better :)

So..go heat your oven laaaadies! hehe

Resipi : Kuih Keria

Salam!

Gong xi fa cai to my dear Chinese frens! Thank you for the long weekends :) Yippppahhh!

Sebab loooong weekends, satu hari can cook up to 3 recipes eceh. Tapi as usual. It is the simplest of course. Haha, sbb petang ni so breezy and windy, i gonna write kuih keria recipe lah.. haha kaitan?  Haha, jgn gelak..saya serius!  mngkin ada taktau yg kuih ni sangat senang nk dibuat dari beli RM1 dpt 3 ketul je. Baik buat, boleh bg jiran sebelah sambil mengeratkan silaturrahim kejiranan.


Ok chefs! let's start!...gituuuuu.....

Bahan:
Keledek warna oren-putih pun boleh actually (omg, malunya..betul ke nama dia ubi keledek?)
Gula
Garam secubit je
Tepung Gandum
Minyak untuk goreng.

Cara
Keledek tu rebus dgn geram dan garam sampai empuk boleh lenyek
Pastu lenyek campur dgn tepung gandum kasi dia dah tak melekat tgn.
Buat bentuk love..love..eh tak, buat la bentuk ring
Goreng lah! Jadi dah la tu!

Gula nya tu, masuk dlm teflon yg tak melekat tuh. ceh perlu ke cite baru beli teflon? ceh perlu ke cite baru beli :p Hahaha murah je. kat carrefour baru RM60. Rasa nak beli 6 biji terus. Tapi sabar itu ada balasannye linda.. sabar, ha... okay seterusnya. Gula cairkan dgn air sket..sampai boiling and pekat sikit then masukkan semua keria yang dah goreng tadi.. gaul smpi kering berkuping².. Walllaaaah! dah jadi kuih keria..

Actually, kuih keria nya adunan ni pun boleh buat kuih cik mek molek. Cume masukkan gula n goreng je la..jadi dah 2 jenis kuih satu resipi aje.. ha amacam? ada rasa nak niaga kuih tak pasni? hahaha

Recipe : Grilled Chicken & Butter Rice

Salam!

Hai hai! harini rasa nak up kid recipe (my version-lah). O yes, a simple simple and the prep is always² under 20mins. 30 mins top. I learned to cook real fast from my Mak and also because my son said so. He always in the middle of nothing, come to me and "ummeh, Ghaji lapar..tolong macak nasi lemak" and yes, sometimes it's in a middle of a night. So ummeh will go, *kelempung, kelempang* in the kitchen and waaalllah. Siap! And he just a cute photocopy of his Abah :) Always "emmm..cedap, techiyu ummeh"..always :) You know guys, take an honest tips from me, "ALWAYS give your heartiest thanks for the hardship of your other half in the kitchen, even though that is her responsibility" And before you know it, she'll be cooking more often :)

So here here. stop with the jabbering, lets start cooking. Since i said it is so simple. so The recipe will require no skills at all. Only a skill to read and buy because you do have to read to buy stuff rite? haha *lamest joke*

Bahan:
1 saiz tapak tangan Ayam dada/ayam with no bone
1/2 sudu kecil thyme
1/2 sudu kecil parsley 
1/2 sudu kecil paprika
Just a pinch of lada hitam
Garam
2 sudu Olive Oil
Bawang putih -2 ulas-racik
Bawang merah kecil -1 ulas -racik
Tomato ceri - 3 biji

Cara.
Marinate all those stuff kat atas! weee-ho!
And buat little hole and stuff some of the bahan, kalau saya..saya suka masuk bwg² tu dlm lubang².
Last sekali baru tabur minyak olive oil
Bakar dalam 30-45 minit.
Angkat and serve panas² dgn bayam goreng and butter rice.
Butter rice pun  senang
Nasi masak panas², gaul dengan butter, letak a pinch of salt and 1/2 sudu kecil fresh thyme.

Dish ni, saya nak bagi lengkap healthy serving nya utk Ghazi, i stir fry some bayam. Since he love any green, and he no picky² one haha dia makan dgn lahapnya!

Pergh! rasa dia..mmg orang besar pn hadap sekali. OK! selamat mencuba!

Resipi : Sambal Tempoyak Mak

Salam Sabtu!

Sambal tempoyak alert! all pics were taken as my Mak prepared for her epic sambal tempoyak. Sambal tempoyak dia ni dah merata  dunia travel ye hahaha.. Sangat sedap n sentiasa jadi bualan ramai. gituuu.... I will ask her to look at my recipe if i did missed out anythng. For the time being, here's the recipe that i remember she used for the Sambal Tempoyak k :)

Bahan
6 helai Daun Kaduk
Secekak Pucuk Ubi
4 helai Daun Kunyit

1/2 inci Kunyit Hidup
Ikan Bilis banyak ikut suka
2 biji Lada Besar-dihiris
12 biji Cili Padi
2 papan Petai
1 biji Bawang Besar-dihirs bulat
1 biji kelapa Santan
2 batang serai-dititik

Cara
All the daun-daun, sila mayang. Potong as in the pictures
Kunyit di tumbuk dengan cili api
Masakkan cili, santan, ikan bilis, serai yang dah dititik dan tempoyak di dlm kuali. Biar sampai menggelegak.
Masukkan daun yang telah dimayang degan petai
Rasa, kalau nak masam lagi tambah tempoyak
Masak sampai santan jadi pekat

Resipi : Fettucini Carbonara

Salam hi hi...

Ni wordless wednesday ek? tapi saya dah senyap wednesday lepas, so wednesday ni saya nak bercakap plak aci? haha Anyway, sebenarnya excited jugak nak share resipi ni. Phew! selama ni selalu buat carbonara memang campak yang dlm tin je. Sebab senang kan. Tapi turn out, make it from scratch is way much tastier!

So I got this recipe from website which if you ask, i don't remember anymore. I think its from Allrecipe or Foodnetwork. Just google the fettucine carbonara recipe and then I went to Jusco bought stuff to cook hehe. Tapi banyak jugak bahan yang digganti dari resipi asal, but the taste is way better than the instant one. 

Tips: 
i.  You can substitute the fettucine with other pasta (spaghetti, bow tie pasta, cannanoli, shell pasta) just make sure the pasta yang direbus tak terlampau kembang/lembik. Sedang cantik je.
ii.  Kalau takde whipping creme, can try full cream milk and then campur sedikit dengan bancuhan tepung gandum. Okay jugak!


Lets start cooking lady!

Bahan:
Fettuccine- I used San Remo (half of it)- Boiled with a couple of olive oil drops
1 biji bawang Holland -diced
3 ulas bawang putih - diced
1 size tapak tangan dada ayam -potong small cube (diced la tu) haha
Mushroom - i used fresh white mushroom - sliced
200g whipped cream
1 egg - whisked
2sudu besar olive oil

How now white cow?: hehe
1. Dalam kuali, masukkan bwg besar and putih, sautéed until berbau enak
2. Campar masuk ayam and half of the mushroom
3.  Seasoned kan. Bubuh Garam kasik cukup rasa je.
4.  Kacau semua dalam 1-2 minit, angkat letak tepi sekejap
5. Dalam periuk lain, masukkan semua whipping cream, stir lightly then throw in baki mushrooms tadi
6. I also throw in an organic vegetable bouillon cube for seasoning, kalau nak substitute dengan kiub ayam knorr pun boleh. Actually taste lebih kurang kot.
 7.  Stir lightly sampai die pekat sket. Then masukkan dlm kuali yang dah dicampurkan bahan² tadi
8.  Sambung kacau dlm 5 minit.
9.  Masukkan telur yang dah di whisked. Jangan lama! 30sec cukup, lagi kurang lg bagus tp jgn kurang then 20sec. Masukkan terus fettuccine .
10. Taste and season again kalau tak cukup perasa.
11. Hidang dan makan!

Resipi : Lempeng Kelapa

Salam salam :)

Kawan saya kata WHAT? Lempeng pun nak update resipi? he he he.. Dahnya.. nak jugak up! nak jugak! hahahaha Lempeng kelapa ni sedap, sesuai nak makan dgn sambal ikan bilis (utk adult) and kalau kids makan dgn sos yang sweet. Untuk Ghazi saya buat apple caramel sauce. Abis jugak dia makan. So simple simple one lah.

Bahan
Tepung
Kelapa parut-kalau dapat yg putih² gebu aje. kalau takdapat, mana² pn bleh
Minyak masak
Susu cair
Garam Secukup rasa..mmmm
Pandan
Cara:
Harus lah gaulkan semuanya. Gaul dgn penuh kasih sayang okay.
Then layarkan atas pan (sapa yg ade kuali leper tu bertuah lah) Saya pakai kuali biasa je haha jadi la juga kan. So layarkan tu dgn daun pandan yang diikat. Bajet wangi la kan. Cihihi~
Pastikan dia nipis and masak depan belakang serta ranguuuuup okay. Hmmm. Tetiba teringat, cicah dgn sambal tumis. terbaik nyah!

Cara nak buat sambal tumis semua pun tau kan.Segan lak nak ajar :P ( oh buat lempeng kau tak segan ajar kannnn..haha)

Kalau nak buat caramel sauce pun senang.
Letak dlm periuk vision (yg murah). Eh Epal merah yang sihat ye. hehe potong dice. Campak dlm periuk with brown sugar+serbuk cinnamon+ a lilweebit of salt+gula kasar biasa and buh air sket. Biar die mereneh smpi rasi then buat la jadi sos suh anak anak makan. Hmmm pun sedap!

Resipi : Simple Spagethi Prawn Olio

Salam and gong xi fa cai ver!...eh?

Hehehe.. Tadi Vero (Amoi ni bujang lg, kaya lak tu..jom pau angpow haha) minta resipi ini, but since Ghazi is pestering me to get to use the laptop, so I have to be real quick Cause i bribe him with you tube on my phone haha.

So where do we start? yes, simple. I found the recipe from Anis AFC tumblr. She have few good recipe. Go Google and try out. And I make the Olio just because husband is a bit under the weather. He caught the flu complete with a high fever. So being a nurse and  a chef is fun when your patient don't have problem in the eating area :)

Lets start with the easy simple ingredients:
1.  Spagethi -rebus with a couple of olive oil drops
2.  Udang -Fresh and big and lots
3.  Diced Bawang besar holland & 3 ulas bawang putih didadu juga
4.  Thyme - Fresh & dried ( I used both)
5.  Lada Benggala - Green & Red also diced ( banyak or sket tak kisah, ikut kuantiti spagethi ok)
6.  Tomato Ceri - Banyaknya ikut suka tuan/puan lah :)
7.  Serbuk lada - I bought yang mmg dah ada kat rak herbs tu.- Contoh gmbr yg botol kat bwh tu
8. Olive oil - Untuk menumis of course 
9. Sprite Lemon - Dalam 1/4 cawan kecil
10. Grated Parmesan Cheese (untuk last skali...)

Caranya :
1. Tumis Bawang merah dulu, naik bau then throw in bawang putih
2. Naik bau bahan di atas, masukkan lada benggala
3. Dah rasi and naik bau bwg+lada then baru masukkan Tomato ceri + udang+fresh thyme
4. Then masukkan spagethi + dry thyme+seasoned em. Masuk garam secukup rasa
5. Gaul (jgn lama nanti udang overcooked tak sedap) then dah rasi baru masuk air sprite
6. Gaul lagi sampai dia kering sket..and nampak melekit.
7. Angkat and serve and tabur la parmesan cheese kalau suka :)

Siap lah! Tapi kena ingat, udang jgn overcooked and everytime masak sume bhn tu tggu naik bau baru masuk the next bahan. Baru la dia punya rasa naik. And jgn kedekut dgn udang n bwg. Letak banyak² pn takpe.. okay

And oyea, this recipe pun sesuai untuk kids sebab Ghazi makan pun berselera.

Resipi : Asam Pedas Pari

Salam..yes..another recipe :)

Im just in the mood of sharing peeeeople! ehehe So Ini Asam Pedas Ikan Pari yang berempah. Tak la berempah sangat, tapi it is way thicker (pekat) and more spicy (berempah) than the usual KL Asam Pedas. My mak champion in cooking this one. Im just on my way to perfecting it. And my husband is a no help when he always gv me two thumbs up without any comment. Haha. I really think he shud at least give out comment so that i knew where to improve or whatnot haha. But sokay. That just him. hehe

So where do i start? Pasar! yes, pasar la. Sebab nak cari pari segar. Be careful with ikan pari yg tak segar, it will make your Asam Pedas taste different ya.


Bahan
Ikan Pari/Kembung/Ikan Merah
1/2 sudu kecil ketumbar
1/2 sudu kecil jintan putih
1/2 sudu kecil lada hitam
ibu kunyit 1 cm
4 ulas bwg merah
2 ulas bwg putih
1/2 inci halia
1/2 inci belacan
Air Asam Jawa
Cili kering kisar
Daun kesum
Daun Limau Purut
Bereeennndi

Cara:
1.  Ketumbar+Jintan Putih+Lada Hitam+ Kunyit tumbuk lumat and tumis dulu sampai naik bau
2. Bawang merah+putih+halia+belacan dimasukkan lepas tumisan no.1 naik bau
3.  Dah dedua naik bau, sila la masukkan cili kering yang dah dikisar menjadi cili boh tadi. Sampai naik bau juga then masukkan ikan.. And gaul kasi rasi
4. Lepas dah rasi baru la tuan/puan masukkan air asam jawa sedikit demiiiii sedikit. Sebaba kita taknak ilang kepekatan dia
5.  Pastu baru la masuk daun kesum and bendi
6. Masukkan abis air asam jawa ikut sukatan yang mau
7. Last skali bila dah pekat likat masuk la daun limau purut. Nyummmmm!
8. Makan sambil hirup² la sebab dia sedap sangat. Ops, terngeces airliyor sambil naip haha

So try lah! Naty cerita jadi or not ok :)

Resipi : Ungkep Ayam

Sorry for having to postpone so many recipe. Eceeeh. Macam ada org nak pun. Eh its just a click away actually if you want to know any recipe. Its the border-less world today. You can always go to lots of Recipe website, blogs or okay. just cilok from mine je okay if you r that yakin haha.

Anyway, harini one more simple recipe. Ungkep Ayam. Actually one of my friend did ask where is the origin of this recipe. And i said dont remember actually. But another fren told me its a javanese cooking. Oooo and that's ring a bell *ding-dong-dom* I lived in Johore to be exact in Bt.27 Lenga, Pagoh for almost 5 years, and then i studied in Skudai, JB for another 4-5 years. I think that was a longest time i'ved lived in one state. So yes, i can speak a few of javanese word haha And yes, people did stared at me when i bought something from shop just because i'm a bit lanky back then haha. And yes, i do look a bit javanese if u hesitated. But hey, thank you to the dearest Ayah for the nose. :p

And lets stop reminiscing the old day and start jotting some recipe Linda :) And fair warning, the recipe will or may not be the same as what the classic ungkep ayam javanese recipe, but still..what else shud i called it? haha Ungkep Ayam ala Linda? i cannot put pahang because i dont think pahangese ever admitted to have this kind of recipe from their kitchen hahaha so whatever it is-lah, it still taste as good as how my palate love. There u go :)

Ingredients:
Bahan untuk dikisar :
1/2 sudu besar ketumbar
1/2 sudu besar jintan putih
1/2 sudu besar jintan manis
1 inci halia
1 inci kunyit hidup
1 biji bawang besar (merah)
4 ulas bawang putih
5 ulas bawang merah

Ayam dlm 1 kilo lebih , i used semua peha (because the husband love peha so much :)

Untuk Tumis:
1 batang kulit kayu manis
1 kuntum bunga lawang
1 biji bawang besar, dihiris bulat
2 batang serai, diketuk
 minyak masak
garam secukupnya
air asam jawa
air secukupnya
Daun limau purut dalam  2-3 helai

Cara :

1. Panaskan minyak dan tumiskan kulit kayu manis, bawang besar, bunga lawang dan serai hingga naik baunya.
2. Masukkan bahan kisar dan tumis lagi hingga naik bau dan garing.
3. Masukkan ayam dan kacau sebati.Tambahkanair asamjawa ( bit by bit..sambil isi sambil rasa) .Kacau biar rata. Tutup kuali dan biarkan selama 30 minit hingga ayam empuk.
4. Tambah lagi air jika ayam belum empuk. Masukkan garam dan daun limau purut.
5. Angkat dan hidangkan kat suami or anak ;)

There u go. Easy giler kan. Have a try. It is one of my fav because ungkep dont hv coconut milk. I dont really love coconut milk that much. No offend coconut hehe.

Ok then, so u can always pair it with nasi impit and kuah kacang or others like nasi putih panas pun jadi. kan.

Food : Terubuk Stim

Salam :)

Selalu makan terubuk? this 1, i got the recipe from org sarawak himself. Masa beli kat Pasar Satok, Sarawak. He also gave out tips on how to beza local terubuk and imported terubuk. And of course local one is way more expensive than the imported. Im not kidding, seekor yang boleh dibeli dgn harga RM10 for imported, harga yg local can go up to rm30 or rm40. So, how now brown cow? Rasa wise, i dont know.

Anyway, sebelum ni kalau masak terubuk..sure goreng je. so..pakcik tu suh stim instead. So saya try la stim. Hmmm not bad, not bad at all...but i still prefer the goreng one. heheh sedap!

The taste, not bad. Try lah sekali!

Recipe : Sayur Stim Bersos Tiram

Simple recipe approaching wooot! wooot!

Resipi ni actually blh buat kat a few jenis sayur, such as kailan, baby kailan, pakchoi, pak apa² lagi la yang difikirin bersesuaian. This one is a very very very simple one. Tapi masa masak tu kena betul caranya, kalau tak kuah cair and bila cair kurang umph je la, tp still boleh makan. So here goes.

Bahan untuk sos:
Bawang putih dlm 6-7 ulas tumbuk lumat²
Udang kering sesudu - tumbuk lumat²
Sos tiram 4-5 sudu
Lada hitam - setengah sudu kecil (buat rasa pedas je)
Minyak
Air dlm suku cawan

Sayur tu celur dulu, tapi kalau saya suka stim. Bukan saya la stim, kita stim kan sayur tu dlu la. haih! mentang malam jumaat..masing² pun :p hahaha

Caranya:
Senang.
Panaskan minyak, api besar. Tumis bwg putih smpi naik bau, masukkan udang kering. Dah rasi dedua baru masuk sos tiram. Bila dah mendidih tumisan tu semua campur sos tiram tadi, slowly masuk air , jgn main cmpak je ye. sikit²...smbil tu die pekat la (tak payah masuk tepung jagung) smpi abis sukatan air..then last skali masuk la lada hitam. ..dah siap la kuah nya. Tuang atas sayur yang celur tadi.
